Introduction

According to the Belgian Navy Headquarters, the car flags shown on this page do not exist any longer. Flag officers now use as car flag a plain Belgian tricolor and a blue square flag without anchor as appropriate to their rank.

The car flag of the Chief of General Staff was the Belgian tricolor flag with golden initials, "GS" in 1997, and "JS" in 2000.
